Beachfront Sayulita Hotel
The Sayulita hotels are not the “high-rise” type of hotel that you may be use to. There are hotels right on the beach that have separate palapa style living quarters that range from the penthouse to a smaller suite. These type of beachfront hotels have quality resort amenities, like laundry services, days spas and Eustachian make-overs.
There is a really great hotel just a few blocks off the beach, and close to the plaza that also give you the 5 star service that you look for in a hotel. These hotels are right in town, and close to the fun night life that Sayulita is known for.
Hotel Amenities
Things are different in Mexico then in the USA or Canada. Some of the little things that we have become accustom to are just a bit different. So, here are some things to bring into your awareness.
Don’t drink the tap water, or ice cubes from certain restaurants. Only drink bottled water. (Just in case you did not already know that!)
Make sure all of your valuables are locked in a safe when you are out of the room.
If you are visiting in the winter months, air conditioning may not be included. If this is one of your needs, make sure you check it out first.
And on that same line, everything molds, and everything rusts here in Mexico. Be sure your unit has ceiling fans.
Some of the hotels have what is considered “eco” living, and have living quarters and the kitchens in a screened in papalpa.
Note that “eco-living” can also mean no electricity or hot water.
Not all hotels have swimming pools.
Check for a microwave.
Not all hotels have hair dryers.
When it comes to shopping, remember, all prices are negotiable. In fact, the street vendors like the haggling, and I think they expect to play that game with you.
If a hotel does not specify hot running water, you may not get hot water, or any running water at all!
Be sure to check the rates for special discounts, and the discounted summer rates, and make your reservations.
See you at a Sayulita Hotel on the Riviera Nayarit in Sayulita, Mexico!
